Even among the fastest and fiercest modern supercars, the Ferrari 812 Competizione radiates a special kind of menace.
A limited‑run development of the mighty 812 Superfast, it elevates the front‑engined Ferrari V12 to new heights, thanks to a 6.5‑litre naturally aspirated engine that develops 830hp and spins to 9,500rpm.
Just 999 examples of the 812 Competizione were built worldwide, with each one spoken for before the car was officially revealed in 2021. The car featured here will be offered for sale by Iconic Auctioneers later this month.
Pushing the (rev) limit
For the 812 Competizione, Maranello’s engineers pursued every marginal gain, fitting lighter internals, redesigned cylinder heads and low‑friction coatings to increase both power and revs. The numbers are staggering: 0‑62mph in 2.85 seconds, 0‑124mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 211mph.
Revised aerodynamics, honed in the Scuderia’s F1 wind tunnel, deliver the downforce needed to keep the Competizione on the road, while its seven‑speed dual‑clutch gearbox fires through shifts with barely a pause for breath.
The example offered here is finished in Giallo Triplo Strato, a vivid triple‑layer yellow that shows every curve and detail to full effect. Carbon fibre adorns the V12 engine bay, front air intakes, side skirts and rear diffuser. Yellow brake calipers, Scuderia shields and Pirelli colour‑edition tyres complete the attention-grabbing exterior.
Inside, Nero Alcantara is combined with extensive carbon fibre trim, yellow stitching and a matching rev counter. The car also has the rarely-seen passenger display.
One careful owner
Ordered new through Stratstone Manchester, the Ferrari was delivered in July 2022 to a collector on the Isle of Man, where it has been professionally stored from day one. It has covered just 2,200 miles, and its service book shows routine visits to Stratstone – the most recent in April 2025. It remains in factory‑fresh condition, backed by Ferrari’s seven‑year maintenance plan.
The 2022 812 Competizione will go under the hammer at the Iconic Sale, held during Supercar Fest at Sywell Aerodrome on 17 May 2025. With so few examples of this Ferrari reaching the open market, it represents a rare opportunity to buy one of Ferrari’s greatest front‑engined V12s.
